On that note, I wouldn't buy from Amazon.com or Amazon vendors, or even eBay for that matter. Their warehouse inventory is plagued with fakes. Price match Best Buy if you can, or B&H Photo. At least you'll know you're getting genuine cards.

I second this so much.

Amazon.com and Amazon vendors have had history regarding selling non-geniune/fake Samsung Evo/Evo+ cards, especially in 2015.

Anywhere that can price match Amazon can be good like Best Buy, Staples, B&H, etc.

It's always wise to check any new SD card you get with a program like h2testw just to verify capacity. That being said, I purchased this exact card from Amazon a few weeks ago and it was fully genuine.

I just ordered a 128gb Evo + from Ebay.....

Is there a way to tell if mine is fake?

No, it says it's sold by "Open Group Wireless" and fulfilled by Amazon under the price.

This is not sold by Samsung directly. You go to Samsung site for that. These cards on Amazon are either sold by a 3rd party vendors through Amazon which they fulfill the orders and sometimes there's a chance that fake sd cards are mixed among them.

As a heads up, those brick and mortar stores will only match items "SHIPPED AND SOLD BY AMAZON". This deal is not sold by Amazon and cannot technically be pricematched. Yeah yeah. You may get some 19 year old kid who doesn't notice or doesn't care, but don't pull the "This is BS! I'm never shopping here again!" routine when they refuse to pricematch.

As for a card of this capacity, I'm afraid of even putting that much data on one of these. And I'm not referencing this card in particular. Just saying that microSD cards tend to fail FAR more frequently than other media and I'd hate to lose 128GB worth of data. Backup! Backup! Backup!
