Not a bad deal for those who were on the fence applying for the card. Usually comes with 25-50 off first purchase depending on location.

First 90 days you get 10% back on up to 6k in gas, 6% on dining/travel (travel is very broad category with this card which is nice), and 2% everything else. Max of 5k cash back. Paid in form of a check in Feb.

Membership required to apply. But not to keep the card. Plenty of recurrent groupons/amex/MC offers to get a deal on membership. Alternate primary member every year with someone to always get a good price and package on membership.

Wouldn't be too hard to do 2k a month at gas stations to get $600 back...but I would be careful doing any over the top/not income appropriate levels of spend since synch has started cracking down on accounts for folks and sending them the dreaded blue envelope.

Still a neat deal, and fun to see yet another card offer double cash back, even if its only for 90 days!

Great promo. When I got the card I got zero promos, but the 5% gas has really paid off. The only annoyance I have with the card is that it doesn't sync with Mint.com, but for 5% on gas I will manually enter the transactions.

That's a deal breaker for me. Bummer.

I've had this card for a couple of years. I finally compliment it with my citi card for 2% on everything, but still use this for gas and dining. Was huge back when gas was high.

Actually, one needs to maintain the Sam's Club membership to be eligible for the cash back.

from the details: "Cash back rewards are forfeited if the Sam's Club MasterCard account is not in good standing, if the Sam's Club Membership terminates or lapses, or if the Cash Back earned in a calendar year is less than $5.00..."

Actuality many folks have confirmed the contrary. As long as you have >$5 no worries. Can cash check at CS without membership.

A check is issued every February that must be cashed at a Sams club. You get cash in hand.

in store only, u should be able to get 25-50 bucks free too off your first purchase? YMMV

Sure, just make sure your school accepts Mastercard as a form of payment....you can definitely pay the majority of student loans with this. I wouldn't apply for this card specifically 2% for tuition when you could get something like the citi doublecash that offers recurrent bt promos, APR reductions, etc.

only reason I ask is because our online system isn't that great and I can just keep paying 'the wrong semester' and getting refunds to pay the card off. would cities card still be the better card? or mileage cards

You only get 90 days of 2 pct with Sams mc. And it doesn't pay out till Feb. You need to use this glitch to its full potential. Reddit.com/r/churning
