Check your Pep Boys 'Weekly Ad' for the DIY Oil Deals section:
https://www.pepboys.com/weeklyad
$29.99 for a 5-qt. Pennzoil Platinum and Oil Filter (filter varies by location/week of ad)

Save $2 per quart (or $10 per 5-quart) via mail in rebate below:
Quote :
Save $2 per Quart on Pennzoil Platinum Motor Oil

Purchase 1 or more 1-quart or 5-quart bottles of Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic motor oil, Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage Vehicle motor oil, or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic motor oil and save $2 per quart or $10 per 5-quart container via mail-in rebate. Total maximum rebate possible is $48 per person, household or address. Click here to download the rebate form for the terms and conditions. [pepboys.com]
The DIY Oil Deal is not available online, in-store only.

The regular price for a 5-qt. is 34.99+4.49 for the filter, making the regular total $39.48.
29.99 - 10 = 19.99 making it 50.63% off ($19.49 savings)

Not as slick as the previous deal (as it was a pm and very ymmv), but still very good for anyone that needs to get oil changes done now. Stock up on 4 5-qt. containers and you're set for a pretty long time
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Try not to use 'price mistake ' in the title or body unless it actually is one. Decent sale though.

I see a lot of complaints on bitog about Pennzoil increasingly giving the runaround on rebates lately. I have never had a problem, but I take pics of everything. Even the papers in the envelope just before sealing it.

Huh? Do it online. I've done three rebates, now, and gotten all three without a hassle. Last one took two weeks.
Hope this helps.

Got my rebate fast when I did this earlier in the year. But honestly, unless you need to change your oil today this is a pretty weak deal. If you have Amazon Prime, you can do this for less than $20 with an OEM filter usually as an add-on.

5 quart jug is 22.47 at Walmart.com. If they're a participating retailer, count me in for 4 jugs.

Bought it last year for $10 AR..no filter, free shipping. Amazon Prime, I think.

Max rebate of $48 and Amazon has these for $22.47-$3ish(SS)-$10(rebate)=$19-$20. So it's around $9-$10 after rebate with subscribe and save compared to $20 here and I don't even need to leave my house for that deal! Bought 4 jugs earlier in the week and submitted the rebate right after placing the order. Waiting for my rebate from Mobil 1 and got the $5 rebate for the Shell Rotella oil. But yea, this is a weak deal, that requires you to waste a trip to Pep boys if you don't have one on your usual route... TD

I never got my Pennzoil rebates from when I submitted them online in May. If you're a forum member of bobistheoilguy, you'll notice that Pennzoil doesn't seem to fulfill their rebates all the time.

Personally it doesn't bother me so much, I just hate seeing decent deals getting a barrage of TDs and not standing a chance bc of it
