What would be the regular monitor equivalent by the height? Like 22", only wider? I am thinking of consolidating my 2x23" Dell IPS monitors into one, but is this good for that? I don't want to lose too much vertical screen real estate just to add some horizontal space.

Looks like we would be losing 2" on the height compared to 24" model, not sure about 23" model, it doesn't list 23" one (the ones I have). I don't have MasterPass, so at $300, maybe I'll stay with two monitors for now, although I'd love to get a wide one.

Is this better than the recent 29" LG ultrawide monitors commonly posted on slickdeals?

This doesn't have freesync but does have usb ports. Not sure about the screen quality but they should be similar. I bought the LG in April and am happy with it. It is the same height as the 22" 16:9 that it replaced.

Did the math in another thread for this monitor:
a 22" screen @ 16:9 is approximately 19.2" x 10.8"
a 24" screen @ 16:9 is approximately 20.9" x 11.8"
a 29" screen @ 21:9 is approximately 26.7" x 11.4"
a 34" screen @ 21:9 is approximately 31.3" x 13.4"

So with this screen you gain about a half an inch vertical, and 7.5 inches horizontal compared to a regular 16:9 22". I'm holding out for a better deal though on these.

I think it'll be hard to find it that low. I am hoping for a $250-ish toward the holidays

For the love of God, please change the title and description to say "USB" not "UBS".

For a NEW Dell U2913WM, this is a fantastic price. I have the U3415W, which is a gorgeous monitor. That said, I picked up the 29" Ultrawide LG from Best Buy for $189 during that sale for my Dad, and it's quite nice as well. I wouldn't say the U2913WM is with $100 more than that deal. But if you want it now, unless you have a time machine..

displaywars.com is great for comparing sizes.
Height is comparable to a 23 inch and width to a 31 (30.6) inch.

Another rep worthy post, thanks for the info guys. I really appreciate this.
I guess this was a good buy but I really hope to find one that's comparable to 24" height. having 1 instead of 2 screens will cut down clutter too, but I am not sure what I am sacrificing by going one ultra wide instead of 2x23 or 2x24" monitors.
