Totally a best deal for pretty much anyone with a single GPU system. So a "slickdeal for slickdeals" if you mind that, since most people buy 700w+ PSU's galore in all of the deals which ... is a bit overkill.


If you're not overvolting, then for sure, this is more than sufficient. Even if you are... you'd know that 550w is plenty!

For a medium end build. Whats a typical wattage? Ive done some of those online calculators that recommend 700+ rated psus.

If my planned build is estimated to need 430watts, will this be enough? I'm not sure if there is any "rule" to allow for spikes or "surges".

depends on what medium is. 550 is usually plenty as long as you aren't SLI/crossfire. it should be fine for most builds plus considering 1000 series are going to be more efficient as well vs higher end 900 series.
