Great deal.

If you have an older kindle reader, don't forget about the the bonus $20 offer when you trade it in. https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&...redirect=1

On PrimeDay, I bought a new paperwhite before trading in my old one. After the trade-in has been recevied by Amazon, CSR was able to retroactively apply the $20 bonus to purchase I made a couple of weeks ago.

No, it is not. Think about it. How often will you be sitting somewhere and need Internet access to download a book? Just put a few on there and you'll never be stuck somewhere with nothing to read. I use my PW more than any device in my house. Absolutely love it.

I am also curious. It seems like prior updates did not make much of a change and am not sure it is worth waiting for a newer version to come out.

first gen was damn good, it's hard to justify an upgrade

The higher resolution is good for detailed PDFs, but otherwise they're about equal.

Can I load PDFs from my collection on to Kindle Paper White?

I have a lot of technical documents and travel guides in PDF format. I'm not a big fiction reader. So the sole purpose of this device is to read my personal collection.

Do they restrict selling used? Not seeing any used ones except for the base Kindle.
