First deal I've ever posted. This is cheaper than what a 1TB external HD would cost and lasts a lifetime. No code needed. The merchant is affilliated with engadget.com and I don't know much about Zoolz but here's a link.

Ok so what you're saying is to compare which will last longer 1 TB at zoolz or 1TB external HD.

A different comparison is how much is 1TB on AWS vs 1TB zoolz. AWS is subscription based. Zoolz uses Amazon for the services.

Or what 1TB on zoolz is vs this deal.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the company these internet companies can last a while because the only real overhead they have is the website which if no one uses the price of maintaining it goes down drastically. This deal is more about bringing brand awareness to the masses. Zoolz is just a middleman marketing Amazon's products for a markup.

Yes, what he's saying is, for the life of the company Zoolz itself. Because if they ever go belly up, well guess what happens to your data too.

Well, if it's too good to be true... then again it's only $39. In for one and tu from me. I wouldn't put anything important on it exclusively though, not until this company manage to prove itself.

One thing to consider is--even in the rare chance that this company only lasts one year, it's still cheaper than paying for Amazon Glacier directly.

Amazon Glacier direct: $0.007GB/month * 500GB = $3.50 a month * 12 months = $42 a year
Zoolz: $39 one time = $39 for first year they survive, $19.50 a year for the second, $13 for the third, and so on.
And on top of that, you get an additional 500GB of instant access storage.
If (maybe even when) they go out of business, I'd bargain that they would give users a chance to pull their files off.

Something to think about.

It's nice to have an automated offsite backup for the local external-HD backup in case of unforeseen events like housefire or ransomware.
This is a good deal because Zoolz and Skyhub try to make it affordable and charge >>no monthly fees!<<. It's understandable competitors who charge monthly obviously won't like it; so they start spreading fear and doubts in several webhost forums.

Important docs like family photos are irreplaceable! Thank you Zoolz (and OP)!
