Great deal!

Make sure you understand that the TV isn't really a "smart" TV in the common sense - requires a second device and app.

I would prefer a traditional smart tv...what are thoughts on the SmartCast app?

Don't waste your time with either, buy a Roku/FireTV/AppleTV. You'll want to anyway, even with a "traditional" smart tv.

Not a bad idea for a monitor if you plan on using that GC on a desktop. Can get a complete system at a pretty nice deal.

I have this TV installed in my bedroom. It DOES have a TV tuner.

Coming from some cheap Sceptre for a bedroom TV, this is a big step-up. I had volume issues with the cheaper TV not going low enough. Volume 1 was still loud, yet, volume 15 wasn't much louder. The picture on this TV is great and dims low enough for bedroom viewing. The smartcast is a bit annoying at first, but you eventually get used to it. What it allows you to do is make an incredibly clean install. No need for other devices, just a TV on the wall and nothing else.

Smartcast is also the thing I hate most about this TV. The remote it comes with has essential buttons on it, but nothing more. Want to turn the sleep timer on? Get your phone out...

it looks like it is available outside this deal price for $10 more. I have a $150 ecard burning my pocket. it isn't close to expiry but I could always forget. is this worth $10 more to be done or keep waiting for a better deal to burn it? ie good tv or meah tv. I don't care about smart features.
