Deal Details

Last Edited by jersharocks October 6, 2016 at 10:29 AM
It's been a while, but IKEA is having another "eat for free" promotion. Free food with $100 purchase.

Overview: eat in the cafeteria, then buy $100+ worth of home funishings and your cafeteria bill is deducted from your furniture purchase. Thus it's free.

More info: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog...food/?#now

I've done this before. Tips:
* Bring your extended family, friends, etc. - make sure the food bill is on ONE receipt.
* Go for lunch or dinner (not breakfast, as breakfast is cheaper).
* Yes, the small snack items by checkout are included (but be courteous and don't wipe out the entire stock or others will hate you).

If you're planning to go to IKEA to buy stuff, might as well go this weekend for free food. Hope this helps someone.

This is a great deal, I wonder if there's a limit to what you can run the bill to.

Hi! wave I have no idea, I've wondered this as well. I think anything < $100 should be fine, not sure about > $100. I've never been able to run up the food bill that high!

After reading the info it never really made clear if the $100 was the most you could deduct.

Whenever there is eat for free, the serving size is very small compare to the everyday average size.

I mean, you could just pay $2 and eat enough for any normal person and save the $100 haha.

Just get 2 orders, and cake, whatever, it's free.

Very true! That's why I wrote:

I've been wanting to buy a small desk, so will be heading to IKEA this weekend. Maybe I'll run into other SDers in the cafeteria! We need a secret wave or something.

Is "Present IKEA Family Card to store cashier" enforced?
