Not trying to TC but get your Macy's diamonds inspected. My first engagement ring was from Macy's. My husband took it to a jewelry appraiser for insurance. Under the microscope it was covered in back spots and appraised for about half of what he paid during a "great" sale. Pretty to the eye but not good quality.

Pick your diamond at Blue Nile. Diamond store folks will slam them, but you're absolutely going to get what you pay for. Places like Zales don't even have high end diamonds, although they'll charge you for one, and act like you're getting one LOL
