Great price on this. Anyone use it, I have only used the old docking stations that laptops slide into, curious how well dual monitors and ethernet work over a usb connection.

we just started getting these for users at my work -- honestly they have been terrible. issues galore, constantly messing with drivers, etc..

I actually have the triple monitor version and love it. I have a laptop hooked up to it and I use 2 of the video ports on it and 3rd screen uses just the hdmi out on my laptop. I also have a 2nd pc hooked up with a kvm switch going to the main monitor and on a 2nd input on one of the others. Have been using this setup since about July and have been really happy. I picked mine up on ebay for about $80 used but came in box with all wiring and looked good. I am also using the ethernet and most the usb ports.

About $7 cheaper than Amazon [amazon.com] plus the gift card. Decent (3.9 stars) reviews on Amazon.

DisplayLink devices are so buggy. Only use them as a last resort for adding monitors if there's just no other way of connecting monitors using a native connection.

Not so. If you have Windows 10 Anniversary fully updated, the latest Display Link drivers will install external monitors in Device Manager as Display Adapters.

This makes external monitors using USB adapters more stable than ever.

At my small company we have 4 users using DisplayLink adapters, all with Windows 10 Anniversary installed. And all versions of 10 before it and two of the users also used them with 8.1 before 10 was released. Nothing but problems with DisplayLink, especially when related to sleep/resume.

I've made it a policy that any future computers we buy for employees must have at least 2 native video outputs now (or a DisplayPort). And so far every one I have purchased recently also has DisplayPort which will allow lots of screens to be daisy-chained and get native connections.

No more DisplayLink for me.

Make sure that you have the latest Display Link driver installed and no other versions. Once your display shows up in Device Manager it's working as a native device.
