TiVo service subscription required and sold separately. Plan options vary, call 1-877-BUY-TIVO or visit www.tivo.com for details.

It's been this price for awhile at amazon and also directly at tivo.com if you use their monthly coupon. But still a good price for retail.

Are these networkable? So you can have one master Tivo in your house and then have slave Tivo units in separate bedrooms which can utilize the same programming and recordings throughout the house?

Yes that's exactly how the TiVo minis work. You hook up the TiVo bolt to your cable or ota and then the minis connect to your bolt over Ethernet or moca and access everything your bolt has. Only pay a subscription for the main bolt.

The LIFETIME service plan on the website is up to 549 dollars. I think Tivo is amazing but wow the price is insane at this point

That is a ridiculous price....I think I'll stick with my x1 for $10 a month...because to outweigh the cost it'll take 7 years

Lifetime for any future DVR you happen to own wouldn't be too bad. But if it's lifetime for one device only, with whatever technology and gigabyte level is merely good enough for today, that's a crap deal.

I'm a cord cutter, fully, like no sling TV or anything, not looking for one of those fake OTA/DVR services, what's the best DVR just for regular ass local TV via an antenna? I just wanna be able to pause rewind and record football and judge Judy. laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

It's worth it if you have minis. I have 4 minis so I have cable in 5 rooms using MOCA.

This. The minis don't have a service fee so you have to compare the cost vs renting multiple DVR's (or Quantum / X1). I have 5 minis so I'm ahead of the game.

Yeah, you can use TiVo Mini with this & moca or wired networking. Best part is there's no additional service charge for the Minis.
