I would buy because they claim they don't use sodium nitrite... I can't trust that, though because they also say they don't use added MSG, which is false... Yeast extract is MSG, one of the multiple names the FDA allows food companies to put on the label to fool unsuspecting consumers

Google "hidden forms of msg" if you want to read about that deception

MOLD MOLD MOLD! Jack Links is way too quick to grow mold. It is a common 1-star complaint, that I unfortunately experienced myself. It is not specific to this flavor either, check their other jerky and you will see similar complaints about mold.

With all beef jerkys, arent you supposed to eat it within a few days of opening though?

Depends on the moisture and type of seasoning. A more dry jerky like Big Johns can last for more than a week with no molding. A wetter sweetened jerky like this and you maybe get 3-4 days.

The first two posts are also from 2012 and March 2015. Sometimes all it takes is a small pierce to the bag and air hitting it which could have even happened while shipping or when they opened the shipping box or container. Air is the demon to these when the jerky is subjected as well as normal shelf life.
