If you like this deal GIVE IT A THUMBS UP, if not THUMBS DOWN... but please don't use this to bicker about politics! :-)

This price assumes you take advantage of the free 30-day trial of the "Buyer's Club" (Cancel within 30 days for no fee) -otherwise, the rifle is $434 (Still a very good deal) This rifle is currently selling elsewhere between $480-525 so this price is very very good.

As cheap of a price this is for a non-poylmer lower AR-15, I am still hesitant to recommend this for an AR. DPMS' quality can (not always is) so bad, it is embarrassing. Keep that in mind when purchasing. If you can afford another 200+32 dollars, there are exponentially better rifles. I cannot beat 420 for a complete rifle but I cannot recommend them, either.

I've never had any issues with dpms, but with any gun maker i'm sure there is. Plenty of good reviews about this gun on buds. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catal...s_id/70770

Are you saying this is a better "budget AR" than Ruger's AR-556? And where did you see the Ruger for $499? Please share :-)

not better than Ruger but you will never find a Ruger for $499. A super price on the Ruger is $589 , is the Ruger better, depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are looking for a AR b4 the election this is a good deal! If you are looking for an AR to take into battle not so much. This is a bottom tier AR however most people are not going to battle. Good day, badgun

A few months ago either the Ruger or the newer M&P was $499.... that's the best deal on a quality lifetime warranty AR I've seen- probably won't see that again anytime soon though

My only complaint with DPMS is that the rail on their gas block is not on the same level as the rail on the upper. Making setup of BUIS a pain. Otherwise, definitely not a bad deal for a entry level budget AR. Should be good enough for home defense if SHTF.

Do note you'll have to buy an optic to be able to use it if you don't have one already so add that expense to get the true cost.

What would you recommend in the $7-800 range?

I would recommend one of the non-sporter S&W rifles with a melonite finish, any of the FN barreled Palmetto State Armory AR15s, Windham Weaponry ARs are good to go. Hope this helps!
