ihave the original 400 HF box since it came out. professional auto repair shop user, ASE master tech, and it has held up phenomenally. iave had it about 9 yeas now IIRC, and i love the purchase.

for the 360 or whatever it regularly goes on sale for, nothing beats it. its stout, deep drawers, heavier guage steel, and for the price, walks all over the matco/snap on/mac tools stuff. id have to buy 10 of these before spending tool truck coin on a box.

i would reccomend the HF boxes all day long over any of the craftsman/husky/etc boxes.
I would read this guy's review on various tool boxes which includes Husky before jumping on this.

I figure for most causal light users this will be fine. But for heavier users you might want to consider spending a tad bit more. Certain Harbor Freight tool boxes seems highly regarded.

The "but now" button is linked to the old listing of the tool cabinet.

Seems like a good buy, too bad I'm not in the market anymore Frown.

I know they aren't quite the same, but this Husky or the 26" cart from HF on sale for $99?

Not the same comparison. The cart is standalone and the husky is meant to go on top of something, either a 41" or wider base rolling cabinet or a workbench top.

I find the carts are great if you have a lot of garage space

I have the husky 48 and the quality is ok for light use as the steel is very thin gauge and the bearings are sparse and light duty. I consider myself a moderate user and have Costco, older craftsman (made better 20+years ago), and Mac tool boxes for comparison

good reference, however those toolboxes are from 4 years ago so not sure how relevant the info is for toolboxes bought today.

You're really complaining about people requesting something as simple as a hyperlink? Are you really that inept, or just lazy?

For anyone wondering: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-.../205722633

With the current top price, it works out to be $168 and change for the bottom set. Not quite the $150 posted previously, but still not a bad deal if you're in the market for both.

In any case, how does this compare to the Costco SS Whalen/Trinity and HF stuff?
