Sure, the lack of broadcast programming is the cause of the prices falling. But stations will eventually all come around to upgrading to 4K.

Bro there is no way 4k becomes standard with tv stations in the next 4 years even. It took most stations 10 years to adopt HD. You must be living in utopia.

"Bros"...most "tv stations" won't exist in 4 yrs. Internet based material from whoever wants to make an app will exist and yes it will be 4k.

The question is whether I net providers will start capping bandwidth and whether people will want to pay more for the associated bandwidth to see 4k on 50 inch screens vs the equivalent material in 1080p.
