Good find. Was just about to post this myself. Should fit the needs of most people for basic computing without the drawbacks of similarly price Chrome OS systems (although Chrome OS does have a lot of upsides as well).

Just be aware, this, like so many other recent Lenovo consumer laptops, suffers from the Lenovo's shitty, new keyboard layout. If you want to avoid the keyboard, or Lenovo in general, Staples also currently have this similarly specced Dell for $229.99 [staples.com]. $30 more but build quality should be a bit better and the N3700 is actually slightly faster in both single-core and multi-core performance when compared to the N3710.

Waiting for the "1366x768 is useless", "1366x768 isn't worth a dollar ", or" wish this had a blu ray, touchscreen, dedicated graphics, i7, and ssd for this price... Guess I'll wait for black Friday " comments.

Edit, ohh yah... This does not have a back lit keyboard either.

This is STILL a good deal op! Thanks for posting

My favorite, even though it doesn't really impact price, is the commenting on optical drives.

Take two laptop threads, one with an optical drive and one without. In the thread with, I'll see comments about how the drive is useless and adds to weight/size/cost. In the thread without, I'll see comments asking why an optical drive isn't included, because even though they'll likely never need it, they still want one and can't bare the thought of keeping a $10 external USB DVD drive around for that one chance occasion. You can't win.

Oh and don't forget, this Lenovo doesn't have USB-C or use DDR4 memory.

Yes, you are correct about CPU performance. I checked some benchmarks now and found out that Intel has actually boosted the Graphics performance in this SOC instead of CPU performance and since it has the same TDP as N3700, the CPU performance actually takes a step down. But the Graphics performance is a bit higher, as per the Cinebench and CompuBench results.
Another thing to consider here that this ULT Fanless processors' performance also depends upon the cooling solution provided by the Laptop. A laptop with better cooling solution, even hosting a lower performing N3700 can outshine a laptop hosted slightly powerful Processor with not so good colling solution, because the efficient Cooling solution can enable the CPU to run at boost clock speed for higher time, resulting better performance.

I doubt the difference between the two in real world use is going to be noticeable at all. Like I said, for $200 the Lenovo should be a very good deal. Just offering the Dell up as a similarly price alternative in case anyone really can't stand Lenovo consumer devices or their new keyboard layout (I'm sure you've noticed as well, there's a lot of those folks around here).

Just this afternoon? You're kidding, right? Smilie They are
on-duty 24/7/365.... (24/7/366 in leap years)

probably more alert than the missile officers guarding
our nation's nuclear arsenal, ready to fire on Russia
or China two seconds after the order has been issued.

laugh out loud This model had been $250 several times over the past few months. Given that and the fact that the best you'll likely do on eBay or Amazon is in the $280-$300 range (before shipping and fees), you're an idiot if you bought this at $250+tax with the intent to resell.
Not you, Pru, and I do agree you're probably right.

Oh, I picked up some of this series of laptops as disposables for my employees. But I picked up this one below which is retailing at (extremely YMMV) for 219.50 in stores ( I paid less)
