4K on a 28" seems way too hard to see. My 43" 4K already has to be only a couple feet away, anything smaller and you'd have to have your nose touching the screen.

This is for computer use. You should only be a few inches away.

Is the display port DVI?

Which means, no hdmi connection for the xbox one s, right? The DVI does not carry audio, does it?

This has NO DVI.

Input : Display Port x3(Ver 1.2a) / HDMI x1(Ver 1.4a)

Display port and DVI are two different things. DVI is much older...

This doesn't list 4k support for 10 series nvidia cards, anyone know if they work alright? I just got a 1070 and was thinking about getting a new monitor.

No DVI, but it looks like you're partially right. If it says hdmi 1.4, then you are limiting the bandwidth, so you can only have 24fps across that hdmi connection. HDCP is not tied directly to the hdmi version. You can have hdmi 2.0, and still not necessarily have hdcp 2.2. but I don't know anyone who implemented hdcp 2.2 across older versions of hdmi like 1.4.

It seems like you are going to have to go with the displayport connection if you want to get everything out of this monitor, but I still would check on the HDCP version. DisplayPort uses its own PDCP content protection, but it also supports HDCP, but DP standards didn't include HDCP 2.2 until DisplayPort version 1.3, which this isn't.

Long story short, I wouldn't trust this to work with my xBox, and especially not with a home theater receiver in the mix.

So the 4k at 60hz will only work from the DisplayPort, not the HDMI. I wouldn't buy this if I also want to use a console with it, unless we're expecting Scorpio and future consoles to have DisplayPort for 4k@60hz+.

Someone says this in every 4k monitor posting. Has no one heard of font scaling before?

It's the modern equivalent of your dad running his 1080p monitor in 1024x768 because "the letters are too small."

There is no reason why it wouldn't work.
