I am surprised nobody posted it, I thought it was a pretty good offer.
I am just not in the market for tickets right now.
I guess AMEX is trying to be competitive with the Chase Reserve card

Now when you use Membership Rewards® Pay with Points through American Express Travel, there are two ways to get 50% of the points back.1

1. Book any First or Business Class flight on any airline

2. Book any class flight on your Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, or AirTran Airways.

That means if you redeem for a 100,000 point flight today, you'll get 50,000 of those points back.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Business platinum cards only, it's an OK redemption if you can't find better transfers to partners.
