Just a heads up, this isn't a real HDR TV.

Kind of dumb there's no HDR. Feels like you would want to bundle a TV with HDR to show off it being available on the Xbox One S.

Not gonna say TU or TD on the deal -- if you want both of these things, now, this is an OK deal. Not an expert on "HDR" so can't say one way or the other if this is crap or not.

But regarding the XBone-S, the main problem I have is that this is the basic 500GB "vanilla" white model. These things are in-stock everywhere and have already had $50-off promos, and will iikely have much better deals by November. (hint: they aren't selling like hot-cakes at these prices).

Also, in about a week, if you want Battlefield-1, the 1TB version in custom green will be out for $349. You can also get the Gears-of-War 4 Red edition today for $449, but I think that price is a bit high, and, doesn't seem to be that "limited" as most retailers have it in-stock.

I've been watching these but bascially there is no rush to buy an Xbone-S at this price, and vanilla 500G ones just don't have much appeal at $299 (IMHO).

"HDR: No" ...lame, and a misleading title.

Your link brought up some crap ad-ware page. I call scam on that.

At least, if it's a legit side, warn us that there is an annoying pop-up first. On SD we're skeptical about crap-looking sites like that. At least I am. Sorry if it's legit but I hate that crap.

Its a legit site 4k.com and I just used it...sounds like you are using your phone and you might need to clear your history. PC Gamer's website is notorious for that crap too, drives me nuts.

I upgraded from an Xbox One TB to a Slim 500gb and I can say it was the best move ever. (walmart deal). I have a 4K TV and everything that was wrong with the original Xbox One was fixed. Blu rays and games upscale great to my 4K TV (non-HDR) and everything is faster. The Xbox One has now replaced my PS4 as my main media console that is until I grab a PS4 Pro in the near future.

Nah, I'm on chrome on Win10. I just tried again, the page loads fine but then 2 seconds later a big green thing covers the whole thing and you have to sign up for email or click "I'll say uninformed" which is fine with me. It's not your fault -- I know a growing number of sites think this is a cool and legitimate way of introducing new users to their sites. I've never used 4k.com so I just didn't trust it. I'm sure your link is fine but personally I don't like sites that slam me with a full-page forced dialog over their initial webpage load.

I am on Chrome 53 on Windows 10 as well. Zero problems. Looking at the page now. I would probably install Ad Aware, you may have something. 4K.com isn't bad, first review that popped up for this TV. I prefer RTINGS.com if given the choice. I used to like CNET but man...WTF happened to those guys?! Downhill.

well damn...speaking of which, they got me interested in this Vizio M series now.

You are insane. I upgraded from the XB1 500gb to the XB1s 1TB (target deal for $200) and the system is louder. It also looks odd because everything else I own is black but I can forgive that. The loudness thing though is plain unacceptable.
