Our family doesn't like the Tomato & Basil- it's too sweet for us. Gave away the last jar last time I got this deal.

Sadly, American food manufacturers add sugar to most everything they make. By doing this, they have changed how America perceives how food should taste. America is addicted to sugar-adding to the obesity problem. I have tried many of these jarred sauces-it would be easier for me to pop open a jar and just use it. I don't like them though. The best way I low to make a really good sauce is to warm olive oil in a pan, sauté chopped garlic in it-do not brown. Add two 29 oz cans of whole tomatoes which you have either hand crushed or whirled in a blender. I also use 29 oz cans of crushed tomatoes too. Cook uncovered for about 10-20 min. Add a little salt to taste, basil or oregano if you like; and serve or use in recipes. Not hard to do at all and is very very good. Very little hands on time- you can be doing other things in the kitchen while it cooks a bit. Hope this helps someone.

Once again, it shows up as an add-on item for me. Not that I was going to buy it anyway, but it's annoying that so many of these deals show up differently for different people.

Thanks for sharing and it usually 1.99 for one at target. I think 1.99 is already not bad for me when I just need one
