The Canon Speedlite 270 EX II Flash is for sale for $79.99 by Canon until 10/15/2016. That is $56 off, according to the website. Some other select refurbished Canon flashes are on sale too, and they also seem to have a sale on refurbished lenses right now.

To get free 2 days shipping chat with customer support and they will provide you with a promotional Coupon that you can apply at checkout. I followed the advice of another slick dealer on this, started a chat and straight up asked for a code, and it worked without a hitch. I will add a YMMV to this if someone reports they didn't get the free shipping, but right now, considering how easy it was to get, I have no reason to assume it is.

I asked directly for a free shipping code and got this immediately:

I wrote: "Would it be possible to get a free shipping code for this purchase?"

Ashley wrote: "Yes, if you purchase today, I can grant you free 2 day shipping".

BTW, Tax is charged and my total was $85.06.

I don't see a link either. I think OP meant "chat" as in call & "talk" to CS. Can OP or someone else post the free shipping code?
TIA

EDIT: Nevermind. I just found a Red "CHAT" button along the right side of the page and was able to get the code and apparently it is SINGLE USE...

Just see option to email. Did you chat with live person?

It's a floating red "chat" button along the right side of the screen and I got a live person to chat with fairly quickly.

It wasn't visible from the checkout page but was there when I went back to the product shopping page.

Do you still see it? I see red chat box, but I only see option to email. May be some ad block thing

It isn't possible to bounce this flash, correct? As in the light is stationary and can't be flipped or rotated on its own.

It looks like it is able to be positioned to 90*

From "Features" tab on Canon website,

"
Ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight, high-performance flash unit
Vertical bounce capability up to 90 degrees provides a wide range of picture-taking options
Flash coverage can be switched between Normal (28mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 72 ft./22m at ISO 100) and Tele (50mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 89 ft./27m at ISO 100)

Slave function allows the flash to be triggered wirelessly (when used with an EOS DSLR with a master function)
Flash release function triggers the camera wirelessly from the flash on a 2-second delay, allowing the flash to be repositioned to illuminate the subject

Ok, this is definitely something I do not need but have been mildly interested in...

Here's my question maybe someone has looked into it but... what's your opinion on the refurb/discounted Canon vs the already cheaper knockoffs like Neewer flashes? They seemed to have good reviews on amazon but I know those can be bought.
