I don't see the touch screen on Amazon for $670, that's the non-touch. The touch version is actually $750 (black) - $800 (white), which makes this a much better deal in comparison. reviews seem overwhelming positive.

I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on this. I've seen better deals for the specs, but this is a great machine and meets all my minimum qualifications (13-14", 1080-1440, 8gb, light, etc).

Solid machine, solid specs, not so much gaming though.

How does this compare to the Dell xps 12.5 ultrabook deal at 640$?
I know that has a different processor which slower but more efficient in terms of power usage.
Plus that would be more portable given the smaller screen and it is dell

Looking at getting this to replace a 5 year old laptop that just died on Sunday. Really want a surface pro 4 but can't justify the price tag when all I will be doing is basic web surfing and the occasional video streaming. Would this be able to easily my needs?

No one can tell you that about any laptop...
Even the same exact model can vary....

with the dell being 4k, this will actually get better battery life despite the more powerful processor. this is a laptop, the dell is more of a tablet.

That is one massively thick bezel. XPS isn't the only thin-bezeled laptop these days though, so hopefully more brands start doing a thin bezel so they can shrink the overall size of the laptop.

Thanks for pointing that out. And yes, there may be some laptops available with higher specs but as you know, for this kind ultrabooks, Hardware sepcs are not the only factor. Ergonomics, build quality, battery life, keyboard quality, Display quality all matters to bring the overall performance. I also checked around 4 reviews and all of them are actually highly favorable for this Laptop.

If you can forget about the 4K Display then this one is better in my opinion. It has better battery life, far more powerful processor and better Keyboard.

It is never designed for gaming. I don't think that every laptop deal posted here has to be good for gaming. This is an Ultrabook for certain type of usage and it excels on that.

Otherwise people can say Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is better Laptop than Dell XPS 13 because it is good for gaming.

5/7 years are very long time and it may be even possible that the OS or software available on that time, will not be compatible or supported with this hardware. But yes, for normal usage 3 years +
