I'm wondering how this will work. I'm with t mobile and right now they're offering 25 dollars account credit. I still have my note 7 (haven't gotten around to turn it in) But say I take it back now to exchange it for a galaxy s7.. will TMobile credit the 100 dollars or will I need to show proof to Samsung. It's probably a moot point because I was trying to wait until the 28th so I could exchange it for the v20, but with a 100 dollar incentive it'd likely push me to the s7 or s7edge .

it says on the website that $25 credit just for returning the phone and then another $75 credit from service provider for exchanging for other samsung phone.

Right. I'm just saying there's no mention of it on the actual carrier's webpage, only Samsung's. Currently T-Mobile only has the 25 credit. So like with some of their promotions I'm wondering if we'll have to contact Samsung with account information to push out the credit or if the carrier will do it a Point of sale and just hasn't updated their website to reflect the new Samsung offering yet

My guess is the carrier will automatically apply it later on. I'd wait just in case.

So if I choose to return my Note 7 for a full refund I wont get refunded for the case I bought?

Looking around I can get an S7 Edge for about $500 used (in mint condition), If I go to ATT and exchange my Note 7 for that same S7 Edge I would pay $800 for it... Its still $200 cheaper to just return my phone and get an S7 Edge used...

Then you better buy a used S7 soon before the law of supply and demand takes over and a used S7 is only $100 cheaper.

better exchange it now. any savings or deal cannot equate the damage you might incur if it goes up in flames. clearly it is a thing waiting to happen. they pushed it.

I'm confused with the "up to" $75 wording. I exchanged my note 7 2 days ago and my wife is today. Both going for the s7 actives on AT&T. HOw will I know what to expect?

This whole thing is so bland and open ended!!!

Thanks OP. Just so we are clear. $100 if you replace your phone with another Samsung device.

I'm on T-Mobile jump on demand. Won't feel as bad going back to the s7 edge and getting one of my 3 yearly upgrades back. What sucks is that I really like the note 7 a lot more than the s7 edge. It feels better in your hands + bigger screen + S-pen.

Also I've spent a lot on the genuine samsung screen protector ($25), s-view stand case ($40), and the genuine clear cover ($25). Not sure what to do with these accessories...

They cost a lot more than s7 edge cases do now.

Damn Samsung. I don't want to "downgrade" to the S7 Edge... I was hoping they would maybe incorporate some kind of system of where you could get the S7 Edge for now and then get a free upgrade to the S8 when it comes out. There's a reason why I waited for the Note 7 to come out before buying a new phone.
