reviews seem pretty good. Both on Amazon and SD from pervious threads. I just bought the 18". We live in PA. Smallish driveway. 500 sq ft tops if I include the sidewalk. fingers crossed

Do you need extension cord for this? My driveway is not big?

I got the SJ623E last year for $149. The year wasn't that bad, so it did the trick. I do think that if the snow was a bit heavier/wetter that it would have a bit of an issue. But you get what you pay for. Understand you're not spending big $ on a workhorse. It's good for what you need. I do my driveway with it, needed to piggy back extension cords, but that's that.

The unit requires an extension cord fyi.

15 amp will pop your standard circuit breaker. Best to run on a 20 amp breaker.

Any input on a medium activity Snow Blower? I am in Chicago and just bought a house so this year onwards, I am in the game. Need to buy around Thanksgiving but need to know which model, which company is a good one for Chicago snow, this year it's supposed to be a nasty winter as they say...

whispering: Play with Brickseek/Walmart app a little. Snowjoe stuff MAY have some nice R&R potential, but as always with WM - YMMV

Man...I really didn't want to buy one now, but about $50 less than the all time low on 3xCamel made me do it.

Any suggestions for extension cords? I need like 75' to reach one end of the driveway, so I guess I'm in for a 100 footer.

How does this compare to greenworks at $137?

I have one and love it. It doesn't throw the snow from the middle of the driveway all the way to the side, but close. Good starter for light snow up to 6".
