Bah, just bought an EVO for wife's laptop for same price.

Worth cancelling and ordering this?

Oh wow... Is that the lowest price yet on the 256GB Samsung 850 Pro?

I don't need one, but the price is so appealing. Big Grin

The 10yr is a big plus, but the performance is almost identical.

This is probably a decent price for the 850 PRO (256GB variety), but I'm not sure how much of a screaming deal this really is considering the 850 PRO and EVO models offer relatively similar performance.

I picked up a 500GB 850 EVO for $114.85 back on August 3rd from Jet.com with one of their promo codes.

With the Samsung 960 series ready to hit shelves supposedly this month, I'd imagine waiting a little bit longer might net you some solid SSD deals on the previous generation.

You can sign up for their email list on their site.

Unfortunately, I can't PM (figure out how to) my code on the mobile app. But here it is: 8207352

In for 1. Bought another brand SSD, went to migrate another drive onto it with some paragon software I had gotten for free and it didn't work. Life so much easier using samsung and their free migration software. Any recommendations for free migration software? Really free that is, not the old trial trick....

Here is a good article on five good ones.link [techrepublic.com]

I have used AOMEI backerupper with success. I have heard great things about Macrium.
My principle tool is apricorn products which are usually on sale during black friday and include usb 3.0 attachments to make it so easy. These 2.5 hd to usb 3.0 connectors are so convenient. My $.02. Happy migrating!
