My take on this was that it is a hardware fix. You can't fix the 480's hardware, so expect a RX 485 to show up.

Well... I did a similar move. But if you have a 1080 monitor then I would stick with the 480.

true, true. Yep. it's hardware. I just sold an RMA replacement RX 480 8GB reference card from XFX. Will hold out for the inevitable refresh instead of getting the black edition GTR 480 right now. Ugh, no video card sucks....Luckily, I have an Xbone and a PS4 to waste time with.
