Which would make the current eShop price cheaper, since it's 30% off until Tuesday.

I finally just bought a 2ds to play zelda... I really dislike Nintendo and their old archaic online/user accounts. I heard that digital purchase are tied to hardware and cannot be transferred... I have not researched this much at all... but I am a digital first person... but I need to be flexible as I might upgrade or get multiple devices...

can anyone help me and other new Nintendo user accounts people?

You could have done a search and answered both questions in the amount of time it took you to post this.

The short answer is yes, you can transfer. I did so when I purchased a N3DS XL. It was easier to do than upgrading my PS4 HD.

However, if you are going back and forth between consoles, buy a physical copy; it's one Nintendo Network ID account per system, and purchases are tied to that account.

Thanks and happy Sunday. Yes, I usually research things myself, but like I said, this could help others who are new. Like the new systems with no power cable fiasco. a lot of people buy things and are educated from the forums. I vowed to not give Nintendo another dime after the decades of love... this past zelda deal made me buy first and ask questions later... I haven't even opened the game or system as I am thinking of returning... or buying the new 3ds.

thanks again... Rep to you for taking your time to post an answer and links for us all.

This makes no sense. You bought a game and system, haven't opened or played it yet, but regret your purchase? Which Zelda are you referring to?

link between two worlds... a true successor to a link to the past, my favorite zelda game.

yeah, I started hating Nintendo after skyward sword... the first zelda game I never finished outside of the CDI games. Nintendo and the stupid woo controls, dumbing down all their games... why did I need to know how much a green rupee was everytine I started the game on the same profile?! they killed Mario kart, but supposedly the 2ds version is similar to the ones/n64 which are the best. I could play a decent version of smash brothers on it. I have a lot of DS and GBA games... plus r4 cart I never used but bought from slickdeals. their games used to be challenging, then they dumbed them down and treated everyone like babies... I don't need blood and guts, I just want the distinction between gamer and casual gamer to be an option. Nintendo has the worst online solution and account management for digital purchases. Nintendo and apple are in the same boat... I can't stand to do things their way... but sometimes you have time give in as their experience is theirs alone.

But I still, yeah I bought this system for this one game. I never said I regretted it, just was not sure if I would keep it. it was a simple question that was answered.

I think maybe it used to be that way years ago, but not anymore. Nowadays all digital purchases are tied to an account. As someone else pointed out, it is not too difficult to transfer an account from one system to another, however you may only have an account linked to one 3DS family system and one Wii U at a time. Nintendo's digital distribution and account management systems have gotten better, but imo they still need to improve things to be more on par with something like Steam for example. Hopefully with the NX they will give it an overhaul.

thanks... I had not given Nintendo anymore attention since the Wii and the original ds. the games were locked to the system, friend codes for each game, and other bs.

I opened my ds, was trying to upload the club coed, found out they discontinued it after a few tries... not on the code redemption site. I looked it up. Mario kart was a very slow download... their wifi hardware must be old as I have a nighthawk and fast internet. the interface on this ds stinks... but all in all... I am ready to play zelda. looking forward to it.

and just because this is monster hunter. I loved that game... bought it for the Wii to play with my brother in another state and eventually country... then Nintendo killed the server for it... there is never any long term plans.

I am bitter with them from their past poor online and modern practices. they are like apple at times...

haha no duh, most questions can be answered by searching it but most of the time you either want the community to view certain aspects of a situation or gain personal insight.

I didn't like this game as much as mh4u. Still great. put in 80 hours compared to 130 on mh4u.

I think the best buy site is having problems. I keep trying to add it to cart and it says "sku not found", but it doesn't show sold out.

Edit: I had to clear my cart cache and it's working again. Weird.

Every time I see monster hunter, all I think about are the guys from Gears of War with the mini guns. "GRIND!"
