With all the hidden fees and headaches it's almost as expensive as what I pay for LA Fitness which is much better in my area, and I can go to any location. Paying a flat $35/mo LA Fitness

thats 420 per year

for those that are fine with just one gym, $145 ain't that bad for one year, especially if one just wants to pay monthly...

I used to go there, $99 for the year no annual fee. It's ok depending on the location if all you do is cardio. $10 per mo is not really a deal

Uh... so is this for the basic membership (aka regular price) or the black/elite/whatever membership?

Not sure why pf gets thumbs down every time it appears. This thread is offering free months. Yes there is a yearly fee but it's still a great deal

Wow I didn't expect such negative feedback lol. For the most part I've found Planet Fitness to be a very good option for those on a tight budget, I guess not. Wasn't aware of all the hidden fees they charge. I suppose you should just wait for the $99 option and go for that.

What's wrong with PF? They just opened one near when I live. I see flyers for $10 down and $10 per month with one time $30 membership fee without contract. I haven't seen $99 a year offer yet.

The $99/year offer (in my area) usually pops up towards the end of the calendar year. That's when I get it and am very happy with what I get for $8.25/mo with no hidden charges or additional annual charges.
