So, this is kind of nuts. In a recent Target Cartwheel app update, they added coupons to checkout. I went to one of those self check out stations. Not paying attention at the end of the process (I was trying to use the normal check out Barcode), I used one of those Save $25 on $100 in Toys and Games. I didn't have any Toys and Games and it ended up making my entire grocery purchase free. Just a heads up. It's unethical, but a weird mistake none the less.

UPDATE: Just noting that this worked on grocery food. It may not technically work on everything.

a little more explanation would be nice. how did a $25 off $100 make your entire order free??? my target doesn't have self checkout, but I'm just curious what you mean.

You're saying you checked out less than $25 worth of grocery, and no halloween items whatsoever like candy and such, and the self-checkout took a cartwheel code of $25 off $100 and you walked out not owing a dime?

If that's true.......oh man

I just scanned the coupon on the Target Cartwheel app and it was applied to my order.

I'm confused. The only $25 off of $100 coupon I see in check out is for Toys & Games not for Halloween items.

And now you're scared because you were on camera and you want others to do it.

I removed the coupon so I don't have anything to be scared of.

So the best coupon I saw was 50% off on some color pencils. So does it mean it will take 50% off anything ?

Less than $25 and I used the Toys and Games coupon.

When you look at the checkout tab after having some items it should show up.

Ok, so you didn't complete the purchase. No knowing what would have taken place completing the sale.
