Terms are explicit about participating lines.

No visible exceptions.

Yep, you are correct. This sentence pretty much says it all: "Get a $100 statement credit after you use your enrolled American Express® Card to spend $500 or more booking a cruise with Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, or Seabourn between October 14, 2016, and April 14, 2017."

The only flexibility is that you can book directly with them or through any travel agent. Cashback for cruise purchases with Orbitz and Expedia are frequently 10+%.

Nice! Got this on all three of my no annual fee AMEX cards, and added to each. Also, it's good through 4/17/2017, so there is some time to figure out where we're going.

Incentive bookings are excluded. Does this mean it only applies to list price bookings?

I already have booked a cruise with Princess in January with the minimum deposit. I have enrolled an Amex card. Do you think I can get the credit if I use my enrolled card to pay off my balance of more than $500 on the basic cruise fare?

Call them up and see if they will change the charge to your Amex. I happened to see the offer after I placed the order but had not lost too much time before got the CS to help me out.. Saw the offer on 3 card so the bonus definitely helps

It was not available on my card. So I called to ask why.

I was given the url
www.americanexpress.com/wlcl

And then prompted to login.

Now I'm sailing. TU

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're just looking for a $500 charge from Princess.

This is a weird one as I've been in my account looking for offers no less than 10 times since this was posted but always overlooked it. The logo threw me and you're looking for "World's Leading Cruise Lines
Spend $500 or more, get $100 back" about half way down the page. At least on the 7 cards I checked that's where it was.

Thanks OP and rep
Data point: On all my various Blues/Golds but not on my Hilton/SPG.

That should work fine so long as you do it before you get on the ship. It won't work for shipboard charges.

So, this offer is still available to add to cards, which is pretty surprising since the corresponding Royal Caribbean offer typically disappears after a couple of days.

I used it today on 5 of my cards. I just booked a Holland America cruise, the total came to $2484 with payment due immediately. I had my TA split it across 5 cards, and had her call and buy $25 of on board credit on the last card to get that one over $500. It worked perfectly, I had all of the emails within 5 minutes of my TA starting the charges. I still have the offer on some additional cards, I'm probably going to buy some more on board credit before the cruise. I figure I'll do at least $1k so I get another $200 back from AMEX. I can always get it credited back to another card if I have leftover after the cruise.

I had been looking at booking a balcony, but there was a price drop yesterday and a suite was only $300 more per person than balcony (and $220 more than the previous balcony price before the drop). So I decided to splurge, since AMEX is paying $100 of the upgrade cost.

One of our friends makes fun of me for the roughly 20 AMEX cards I have (not separate accounts of course, several are AU's). But I saved $750 on my Royal Caribbean cruise earlier this year by redeeming their $75 offer on 10 cards, and now I'll save at least $500 on this cruise. Not to mention lots of other savings from other AMEX Offers.
