Excellent game and a very impressive port. Works well on high and extremely low end PC's. One of my favorites in the last several years.

So it's pretty impressive on a high-end PC with gfx cranked up? I recently got a gtx 980ti, looking for fairly recent games to push to the limits.

While the game looks decent, it won't push your 980ti unless you are playing at 4K. Maybe try Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1(comes out tomorrow), Witcher 3, ARMA III, or Metro Redux if you are looking for some great graphics to push your card.

Decent game, one of the better ARPGs, bought it on sale a couple weeks ago and it's made a good time filler while I've been waiting for the DS3 DLC. If you like controller-based ARPGs on PC, you'll probably like this (cannot recommend this for KBM). On the plus side, the visuals are strong, combat is challenging but not painful, crafting/upgrades are interesting, you can change classes with the same character, you can climb on bigger monsters for tactical advantage, and the pawns system is unique (and if the online player base grows from this sale, pawns will be much more powerful). On the downside, the story ain't no Witcher or even Dragon Age, it gets grindy, the climb-on-the-monster mechanic gets old after a while, and your pawns will have you missing how easy it was to get Lydia to do what you wanted. Neutral: your save slots are very limited. You can either go back to the last place you slept, or your last auto (or manual) checkpoint, and you can't have more than one active game at a time.

This game isn't known for its visuals.

Try gears of war 4 on insane settings and that will make ur 980 Ti cries like a baby. Even my 1080 gets 50ish in 1440p. On high settings, it's butter smooth.

This game may not have the highest rez textures or fancy visuals, but it more than makes up for it in depth and overall gameplay. Not that the graphics are terrible, but just set your expectations. Other than graphics, the combat is excellent, the world is well designed, exploration is well done, and enemies are fun to battle (often you fight large enemies that you can climb on and jump around, pretty cool).

This probably falls somewhere between Dark Souls 1 & 3 for me (DS2 being better than all 3).

DS2 being better. . .not something you hear often, so not sure how to take your recommendation of Dragon's Dogma.

Question
Game was free on PS Plus a couple of years ago for PS3 but never played. For anyone that has played on PS3 and PC, is gameplay and graphics make worth getting re-master on PC if I haven't played on PS3, or just play it on the old console?
