FYI guys

The California Pink Ribbon License Plate costs a fee in addition to your normal registration fee. To pre-order a sequentially numbered plate (a random set of six numbers and letters selected by the DMV); the cost will be $50 ($40 per year to renew plus your normal registration fee). Personalized plates (where you select up to six numbers and/or letters) cost $98 ($78 per year to renew plus your normal registration fee).

So you gotta pay an extra $40/yr for a random number plate, but at least it'll be pink and you'll be helping promote awareness.

So this will replace my current license plate? They ask for my current license plate number.

Would it hurt anyone to put this in Hot Deals where everyone will see it? Or keep in in Freebies where no one will see it?

They prob check to make sure slickdealers don't get random plates for funsies, so they want a plate and an address to triple check if it's a real plate with a real address, etc. from the look of it, I think it'll replace your current plate

One thing to note is that this plate will only allow for a 6 digit letter/number combo. If you have a personalized plate with 7 digits you wont be able to transfer it over to this one.

This comment should be stickied, added to the OP and the wiki so that freebie hunters don't get a headache when they get their bill for renewing registration next year. I believe switching back to their normal plates or getting new normal plates (if they gave back those to the DMV) will cost a few bucks and more time than it's worth, too.

Love the cause. Wish there was a deal for our CA National Park plates.
