I didn't see an ad or a deal posted for this, so here goes.

Add the ecobee - ecobee3 Programmable Touch-Screen Wi-Fi Thermostat [bestbuy.com]. Regular price is $249.99.

Pre-order the Amazon Echo Dot [bestbuy.com]. Regular price is $49.99.

Go to your cart, and you'll see $50 savings for the ecobee AND for the Echo Dot. I ordered this last night, and the ecobee has already shipped. I'll get the Dot on Monday, the 24th.

Hope this helps! woot

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about about the Lite.

To save people some time, it looks like the main difference between the Lite and the regular Ecobee is that the Lite version doesn't support remote sensors. Fairly smart move on their part, because that's either the part of the system that sells someone on Ecobee (it supports sensors and comes with one out of the box) or pushes them away ("why are they making me pay for this sensor I don't want?").

I'm still in it for the Ecobee3...as a single dude in a fairly large place, I can only imagine it's going to cut down on my electric bill by putting a sensor in my bedroom.

The new ecobee lite doe not support the remote temperate sensors. It is a nice cheaper option for those that do not need that additional feature.
For me the remote sensor for the Ecobee3 is the big selling point and the main reason I am considering it.

That's actually pretty darn good. In the market for both of these. Wish it was at a vendor I had a giftcard for, though.

If you're GCU, buy 6x copies of madden 17 for $32 each (3x XB1, 3x PS4). Trade them in for $45 each.

Use those gift cards to pay for this deal.

Damn. With my luck they'd say "sorry, we can't trade them in until you open them" and the value would drop the second I was done unwrapping them Big Grin

I actually made a small fortune back in the day off of Blockbuster and a local (now defunct) gaming store chain named Rhino's. There was some crappy Cubix game that Blockbuster had tons of copies of for $5 and Rhino's had a deal where you could trade in two games worth so much in trade and get a new game for free. Between all the Blockbuster's and Rhino's I must have scored 10-15 new games for $10 each.

I still don't understand the room sensors thing unless they come out with controlled vent sometime ASAP. you're still going to be over conditioning other rooms until the laggard comes to temp.

According to the website it also doesn't support accessories such as humidifiers, dehu's etc... That's kind of a big loss in my book.
