Spiegelau are the best glasses for beer. $5/glass is a good price. Be careful though you or your significant other will definitely break a few of these.

I'd also highly recommend the Sam Adam's Spiegelau Pint Glass since it is a good glass for several types of beer and not just IPA. $7.50/glass is still a decent price for those.

Not going to Lie. Ive had probably over 300 IPAs across a hundred plus breweries. Not once have I been served an IPA in this type of Glass.

And its way expensive too.

Agreed, a classic pint glass is my go to, but I have a couple 'fancier' style such as goblets and tulips that work fine too. I can't see buying 6 of this particular style especially at this rate. I might buy one if it was a souvenir from a brewery or something, I think that's how most build up their glass collection anyway.

Honestly this is my favorite glass for beer...ultra thin...so much so it is as if you are only holding the beer with no glass around it...no thick lip to obstruct consumption. The color and fragrance of a freshly poured beer has never been so gloriously contained in such a display. You won't use this cup for water or milk or soda like a typical pub glass...this glass exposes a bottles ineffectual qualities like no glass before it...So much of what is in the glass is translated into your fingers..hand..lips..tongue...nose...ears...this is your beer cup...

I don't know. I think tulips and tekus are the way to go for all beer drinking

And 5 for a glass is dirt cheap.

I have two of these and love them. I think I paid 8$ each at the beer store. We'll worth it. I sometimes drink wine from them too when my reidels are dirty and I am lazy.

I do like my tulips, but honestly these are $2.50 a whack every day. Unfortunately an add on item, but just a quick example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...PJ27974PYR

As a homebrewer and a hophead these are my go to IPA glasses. You'd never have a beer served to you in one of these at a commercial establishment because they are quite fragile.

That said, the thin glass helps keep the beer colder. From Popular Science:
Quote :
The more quartz there is in a glass, the thinner it can be. Spiegelau uses almost-pure quartz to make extremely thin walls, which it claims will keep beer colder longer. In our taste test, beer poured into a Spiegelau glass was 2.5°F colder after five minutes than beer poured into a pint glass.

The narrow bowl shape is just large enough to encompass your nose while taking a swig, which help direct all the hop aroma goodness.

In my experience, the ribbed stem does help release more CO2 after every sip. More CO2 release = Better head retention and greater aroma.

This one isn't hype, and well worth is at $5 IMO

Better is certainly subjective. If the deal is not for you, then just move on.
