is this a good gaming monitor? I'm looking for a good gaming monitor, but I'm a noob about all this, just got into pc gaming a month ago and only have the cpu... I'm looking for a nice curved monitor, preferably under $400... Maybe wait for black friday?

just make sure you gpu matches your monitor. for a monitor like this, you'll want at least a 1070 if not a 1080.

Deal isn't that special, runs fine for me on integrated graphics, nice monitor though (I do have a stuck pixel), not as curved as you would expect

I hadn't noticed it was QHD... Planning to put a 1060 or maybe 1070 since space and wattage is limited on Alienware case... thanks!! Hopefully black friday won't dissapoint...

PPI calculator says 109 PPI. I'm not sure if these calculations take into effect the abnormal aspect ratio or not, or if that matters.

Regardless, I have this monitor and absolutely love it. I do light gaming on it with dual 7870 and have zero issues. The extra screen real estate when working on it is amazing.
This price is kinda meh, I'd definitely hold off until Black Friday. You won't regret picking up a WQHD curved ultrawide! (Also note, this is 60hz, make sure you are okay with that)

Thanks! I have vision issues and need to have the monitor really close - I'm trying to find one where I don't see the pixels.

I had it for a week. It was not smooth in games (World of Warcraft Legion or Heroes of the Storm). You really need gsync and higher refresh rates to enjoy games. I returned it and got the asus 34", never looked back!

That's good to know, I had this and an Asus on top of the list, hopefully there will be a good deal on the Asus... thanks!!

I bought this monitor direct for the same price on a previous sale. It's worth the money. Consider that the Asus monitor with higher refresh rate is almost 2x the price.

I switched from a Dell 24" IPS 1920x1200 monitor with decent response time to this. Love the extra real-estate! My GTX 770 could run GTA 5 on it with medium settings. (I have a GTX 1080 now)

I run the 24" as a second monitor in an over-under configuration but I'll probably buy another 34" soon.
