slap SSD for OS and HDD for pr0n and you're Gucci
I would advise against anyone who wants to buy the computer and put in a more powerful graphics card for gaming. Dell put in a proprietary 240 W PSU (built-in) and upgrading it requires you to keep your new PSU outside of the case.
Your video card link is for the 390. This system comes with a 360. About 40% power of the 390. Would be a he'll of a deal of it came with the 390.

What do you consider "heavy applications"? This deal is centered around the i7-6700. The graphics card is garbage. If you need an i7 then this is a fair deal.

This is a great machine then.
Here is the CPU benchmark -- its about the 15th fastest i7 made (increadibly fast, 300$ alone)
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.p...40+3.40GHz

Here is the GPU benchmark (24th fastest made) ~ 200$
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net...90&id=3464

You will be able to do heavy lifting and 1080p maxed out gaming on 80% of the games out there right now. This is a GREAT deal. I built last fall and have similar specs and it cost upwards of $1000 for the build. I went economical powerhouse / most bang for buck and futureproof on my build. I say fire without hesitation if you are looking for a workstation.

GPU is more than acceptable for 579 rig. In fact it is pretty damn good considering CPU is about 300$ and GPU is around 150-200$ alone.

That one is 500 for i5

You pay 179 extra for i7

Why it's better
