it could run 1440p at Med-High settings between 30-45 fps, but it's more of a sweet spot for 1080p Ultra. I would highly recommend a GTX 1070 for anything 1440p and above.

For me this is the best GTX 1060 out there besides the Asus Strix ROG but the Asus is $320 retail.

This MSI also has a backplate inside and outside the PCB, yes two(2) metal backplates and helps cooling the components better.

I already have the Kraken G10 and pairing it with either the Kraken X31 or X61 (I would want to get an X41 and compare those coolers) Kraken G10 is also compatible with the rounded cooler pumps from Corsair such as the Hydro H55, H75, H90, H105

For people asking if the GTX 1060 is good gor 1440p gaming, my answer is YES and NO. It will depend on the game you want to play, say I only play LOL, Dota 2, CS:GO this gpu will give me 150-300 fps on ultra settings, all max, at 1440p While other games that are too graphics intensive drops to 30-60 fps. Watch vidoes on benchmarks on the games you want to play NOW!

And again this GTX 1060 is almost comparable to the old GTX 980 which cost $500, now you can get it for $220. And still people want more.

As long as your OK with 40-60fps on the latest games I would say yes. I just got the Gigabyte version for 1440p but I play mostly older games as I have a large backlog and it maxes out most at 60fps

gets 80-100 FPS on Overwatch at med-high to max settings.

good price but is also currently $230 no tax at jet.com after new user discount. this is the highest model from MSI, a $290 card. I had tried several 1060's and this was the best of the bunch. Ran the coolest and quietest and seemed like the best build quality, it is massive.
