Note there is no longer any way to turn off the auto-top-off feature where they take more money from your CC, unless you give them $5 to hold forever

Two most important links, you want on their website is written with smallest font possible and in gray color Frown

To downgrade your plan, click here
To deactivate the FreedomPop Premium Plus service, click here

The Sim comes with a 30 day Free Trial of Unlimited Talk & Text and 1gb Data plan, the cost after the 30 day Trial is over is 19.99$. It also comes with a Optional 30 day Free Trial of Premium Plus Packages(see link), the Cost after the 30 day trial is over is 7.99$. Both plans combined is 27.98$ a month after the 30 day trial expires. only $19.99 if you opted out of the Premium Package.

Freedompop is a No Contract Company and you can downgrade, upgrade or cancel at anytime with no penalties. The Free plan is 500 text, 200 voice and 200mbs data each month for the life of the Sim. Additional bonuses available from their website include linking up to 10 'friends' to gain 50MB each for 500MB extra free data (search "freedompop friends" for emails to invite.) Bonus 50MB per 'friend' continues each month while they continue service too. Links below are a quick way to downgrade the Sim Card to the 100% Free plan (Make sure your logged into your new Freedompop account first.)

Unlimited Talk/Taxt 1GB plan [freedompop.com],$19.99/month after 30 days free;
Downgrade to free plan http://freedompop.com/account/nXV...ngradePlan

Premium Plus package service [postdirect.com], $7.99/month after 30 days free;
Remove Premium Plus http://freedompop.com/account/ser...adePremier

Double check status by going to Freedompop.com and checking under My Account -> Plans and the first one My Plans should show "Global 200 Basic Plan" after downgrading.
Likewise, go My Account -> Services and the first one, My Services, should show you are not signed up for any services.
If either DO still show an active subscription, just click on "Details" and then look for the small link to "downgrade" plan or to "cancel" service.

Or to downgrade your Voice, Text, and Data plan, including the Premium package if you choose to the 100% Free one, click following link (step by step instructions I created on the Freedompop Forum)-

Post has, how to Downgrade Plans, VAS Plans, Turn Auto Top up off, Verify downgrade and how to add 500mbs Extra Free Per Month!!

The GSM Sim will only work with these Guidelines-

Must be a GSM capable, Unlocked Android or IPhone (normally T-Mobile or AT&T), CDMA will not work.
Android 4.0 or iPhone with iOS 7 or higher. "Android 2.3 requires special app instructions"
Must accept a Mini-SIM, Micro-SIM, or Nano-SIM Card
Here in the States, the Sim predominantly uses AT&T, but will use T-Mobile when there is no AT&T.

All 25 supported countries http://freedompop.com/worldwide

Here is a list of Countries the sim work in-

Austria, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium , Germany , Norway, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, UK, Croatia, Hungary, Portugal, USA, Czech Republic, Ireland , Romania, Denmark, Italy, Slovakia, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain.
Note about Denmark: I was there in September; freedompop didn't work. This thread on their forums [freedompop.com] was helpful. Bottom line, google ahead of time to make sure the country you are looking for actually works.

The deal is mainly for the sim card, but I just have to say calling an 8 gb memory card a $25 dollar value is just silly. Anyway...

No activation fee but they are betting that you will forget about the trial and pay premium for it. So, please be advised.

When can I change it to the free plan? Should I wait till I get the SIM card? I'm thinking of using this as a way to take advantage of a future port in deal at metro pcs or something

When does the 'trial' actually start? When you ship or when it's inserted into a compatible phone?

Can I not activate it until a few months later when I actually need it?
