I'm interested in a cheap 1151 motherboard, this beast of a motherboard is ridiculous. Its as expensive as an Intel 6th gen CPU. lol. What the heck! Will it make me breakfast?
IMHO this is the best value for 1080p gaming. There is no sense in getting the new released 1050 or 1050 TI, this GTX 1060 3GB is enough for 1080p gaming or 1440p online games such as LoL, Dota 2, CS:GO (they get around 150-300 fps). and is just slightly under the GTX 1060 6GB or the RX 480.
My advise. Research on the games you want to play, watch videos, compare benchmarks (fps on games) and buy the right GPU for you, don't overspend and don't cheap out as well. But for $165 with top of the notch cooler design, double backplate (inside and outside) low power consumption, low temps, and OC to 2100Mhz this is the best choice.

All depends on your games and price sensitivity. If your trying to get AAA games at high settings with 60fps on 1440p I would wait for something with 6gb or more of memory. If you play LoL or your okay with turning down graphics/textures on AAA type games and you want to save some money, this is a good option
There are a BILLION websites that have done side by side comparisons with 3GB -> 6GB and 4GB->8GB, so I am not going to copy and paste any. Most results show like 5-10ish fps differences...that is pretty small my friend. I am unsure where you got your information from, but the majority of sites show its not worth dumping another $100 in a video card to get an extra 3GB of memory... Just saying.
You want a quick youtube video to watch, watch this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYNigmB
The consensus seems to be, if youre going to do 2160p gaming, the higher vram cards might be worth it since there are significantly higher textures to load, but other than that, 1080p gaming does not need it. Period end of story.
I pretty much game in 1080p and no plan to go higher res any time soon. Casual gamer.
Thanks.
