Not bad. I really like the pixel. Got one from Verizon and it's unlocked.

"when you sign up for T-Mobile ONE" kills the deal.

I don't have time to read all the terms. Is this eligible for current T-Mobile members with a non-ONE plan?

Tofu Vic
No. Only new or existing ONE customers.

It's their way of getting people into ONE plans.

Worse? No. It's a two year contract laugh out loud

You get the credit for all the months you stay on a ONE plan. You leave, the credits stop. That's basically how prorated ETFs work too, only this is backwards (you're building towards a credit, not bringing down an ETF.)

I think this is a hot deal. My grandfathered T-Mobile plan with discounts from my employer is better than the ONE plan; otherwise, I'd probably do this because I want the Pixel phone at a discount.

I'm a T-Mobile customer, but don't have the ONE plan. Are you saying that I would qualify because I'd be a new ONE customer?

Thanks again,
Tofu Vic

For existing customers, my understanding is that if you switch to a ONE plan, you would qualify. You can't get the credits if you aren't on a ONE plan.

I'll rather hold onto my current unlimited plan from TMO then that bastardized ONE stuff.

In fact, I now download software updates on my plan, and just stream stuff off wifi for fun. I feel bad for folks who have an "unlimited" 480p plan for video...

what would stop someone from buying phone for receipt and getting discount then returning phone. would keep that line just pop sim in different phone

Edit: never mind. You're suggesting a different scenario.

Good question.
