Yesterday was at home depot B&M, and was able to pick up this saw for $199 on clearance.

There were about 3 left in my store.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID...+Miter+Saw

Price online is about $300, so seems to be some stores only. YMMV.

Comes with the saw, 5 ahr battery, and charger. Blade is included.
Picked one up due to the price, although I've been eyeing the dewalt one.

------- UPDATE -----

ONLINE price is now 199. No more YMMV.

Please keep in mind that 7 1/4 is NOT a standard miter saw size. Most traditional corded ones are 10" and some are 12". 7 1/4" is the same size blade used by most circular saws (hand tools). Just FYI.

Yep...best used for trim, I reckon...and not hardwood trim or large crown molding at that! Interesting idea; but I think the 'need' for cordless in this type of tool is pretty limited. It's not like you carry the saw around on your belt for convenience.shake head

The OP said it, but it bears repeating: The online price shows $299, you have to go to the store to see if your store is clearing these out at $199.

I'm not sure what "standard size" means. Miter saws come as small as 3" and up to at least 15". Maybe back in my grandpappy's day they only came in a "standard" 10", but with a 7-1/4" blade, this sliding saw should be able to tackle just about everything that a "standard" 10" can, and it's much more portable, lightweight, and battery powered. A great deal at $199 unless, of course, you need to cut something larger than a 2x8.

It's $199 in Maple Shade, NJ

It is NOT on display and the web site says, "$299". However, when I asked the store cs to look it up with the sku # it showed it was $199.

These were up high on the rack and I didn't want to bother them to grab it if the price was the normal one.

My advice, don't go by the web site or even the sticker. If I had been lazy, I wouldn't have realized the price was lower. Get it rung up and you might be surprised.

Good price but it seems like it would be very limited appeal. Baseboards, shoe molding, and other light trim work. I love buying tools I don't need at a good price but I would pass on this for me personally.

I don't need a miter saw but I have alot of other ridgid tools. It would be great to have a saw and 5ah battery with lifetime warranty. I'm torn.

Also, my store shows $199 online

It looks like the online price has now dropped to $199 with free shipping, so no more YMMV.

Today is the last day of the 11% rebate match, so when I saw one at my store I couldn't resist. $177 after rebate, not bad at all.
