FYI Phillips no longer make televisions in the US. They got bought out by Hisense and they are using the Phillps brand name (which is no longer worth what it used to).

What is this? A TV for ants?

When is Philips bringing out their OLED TV's? From what someone said, they are Hisense now? So that would mean that Hisense should be bringing out an OLED TV soon, right?

EDIT, appears that person is wrong, Philips is owned by Funai, apparently.

Looks like a decent deal. Waiting for the TV critics to comment and convince me I don't need this TV. Playing with the cart now, how did you get free shipping?

I know that Philips does produce great TVs for the European market with ambilight. I don't see much Philips TVs here in the US and I don't see the ambilight feature also are there differences between US and European market?

I've corrected the shipping cost. As "bmwsuv" stated, it is $75 shipping for those of us that do not live near a PC R&S location. Still is a far better deal than anything else I've seen out there for this size, price, features. Experts out there, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Looking for feedback from anyone that may have seen this TV in person. I only saw one or two positive reviews, but would like to see if any Slickdealers have any direct feedback regarding picture quality, longevity...etc

4k projectors aren't really affordable right now, I have a 1080p projecting on a 110" screen and it looks amazing

obviously in a few years there will be much more content, but I don't see the benefit of 4k right now, especially since sports aren't even on the radar

I would stick with the KS8000. You'll thank me later. Samsung has for the most part dominated the TV market. If there were more reviews on this, then my answer would be different. Especially if this had comparable reviews on Rtings.com
