HDR technology expands the contrast and color range of the existing pixels on your TV to reveal a better, brighter, more colorful image. The picture quality is noticeably more natural. - brisar

Nice deal. I bought mine through ebay for this price after factoring in ebay bucks. (Had gc's).

I believe NJ is the only state with sales tax.

Anyone know the refresh rate on these? Didn't see it listed under specs anywhere. Good price regardless, thanks OP.

60hz ? + Ultra Smooth Motion (fake 120hz ?)

tbh, just $40 off , ok deal

REFRESH RATE

Hisense advertises a 60 Hz native refresh rate for this TV, however I did get Windows to send a 120 Hz signal at 1920×1080 and the Hisense H8 was able to receive it. Sometimes, there was a slight flicker in the screen, similar to what you might see in a PC game without Vsync enabled (basically "screen tearing"). Other times, it might appear as if it was skipping or dropping a few frames here and there. In other words, it was sort of able to go outside of spec and handle a 120 Hz input, but the end result was lesser compared to keeping it within the stated operational specifications.

The Ultra Smooth Motion settings, however, make the motion look fantastic on the higher settings (discussed later), so there's really no reason to try and force a higher refresh with this screen.

An included 4 year manufacturer warranty after registering the TV is worth mentioning. Until recently, this retailed for $600 so this price is pretty good (if tax free), even compared to the $380 50" model that went on sale for a day at Best Buy.

Deals like this make me wonder if I rushed too much buying that 60" 1080p Vizio from Walmart for $350 the other week lol...

Does anyone have experience with this TV and the One S with HDR enabled? Are there any issues or blurring with the 60hz? Thanks.

Good price for a 55" HDR capable TV. Little bit cheaper than the other 55" budget tvs which can read HDR. Keep in mind none of the budget 4k tvs can reproduce HDR correctly though because they all lack a wide color gamut and most cant very bright like the higher end tvs. This one unlike most other budget 4k HDR tvs DOES have local dimming and is FALD (like Vizio line) but like Vizio's D/E series line it has so few zones the local dimming isn't even worth turning on. In fact rtings said the FALD on this even worse than the edge lit local dimming tvs they've tested.

But still, very very good for the pricepoint.
