Good deal, normally i'm a mac guy, but the Surface is a solid piece of hardware. This is $750 at the Microsoft store with the pen ($60 value), so say $690, but no keyboard. Keyboard sells for $130, so Surface Pro 4 w/Keyboard @599 is a great deal. 4GB of RAM though.

Thumbs up if you're in the market for this type of machine. Personally i'd hold out for an 8GB version, since i'd really want something like the surface for art or photo editing (my personal use case) and the RAM isn't upgradeable. You can always upgrade storage via USB or whatever. For day to day use, this is a great deal at $599 w/Keyboard!
Add the pen to cart and it drops to $39.99 (Reg. $59.99)

Costco's Black Friday ad has the i5 bundle (including pen + keyboard) for $750.

It's always the damn m3 model on sale. The two times I bought the i5 256gb model for like $800, they got cancelled.

At this point, I'm not blowing a ton of money on year old hardware, and I'm especially not blowing it on underpowered year old hardware. This is still a good price if it fits your (very basic) needs, though.

This is an incredible deal. The m3 is model is quite powerful and more than sufficient for non-power/casual users and college students.

The SP5 probably won't come out until the end of next year but the SP4 is so great already, there's no reason to wait imo. Nothing about it suggests that it needs an update.

Great deal for the pen - keep in mind the surface pro 4 models do already come with a pen in the box.

Is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Intel core m3 better than the Intel core i5 models?

Is this keyboard reasonably quiet when you type and click?
