There is confusion about HDR and the Xbox One S due to how manufactures market their televisions. Below are a list of televisions known to fully bring out the Xbox One S capabilities. Many gamers are holding off until next year hoping manufactures get on the same page and the technology trickles down to cheaper television sets.

Model Year: 2016
LG OLED E6
LG OLED G6
LG OLED B6
LG OLED C6
LG UH9500
LG UH8500
LG UH7700
Samsung KS9800
Samsung KS9500/KS9000
Samsung KS8500/KS8000
Sony X940D
Sony X930D
Sony X850D
Vizio P-Series (C1) (Firmware update has been released)

Model Year: 2015
LG OLED EF9500
Samsung JS9500
Samsung JS9000
Samsung JS8500
Sony X930C
Sony X900C
Sony X850C

Anyone have experience with this set? Considering this option instead of worrying about snagging a good "deal" on black Friday. I have a 40" 720p Samsung back from the Circuit City days, so anything new would be a massive upgrade.

Edit: Also, looks like it's a 60Hz refresh rate for those wondering.

Considering this tv for the bedroom. Went to LG's website and it looks like it supports HDR Pro and 10. Seems like a pretty good deal but I'm no expert. Anyone who knows TV's well have an opinion? Would this work fine with an Xbox One S?

Anyone know off the top of their head if it has an 8bit or 10bit panel?

Does your store have one on display? If so, how does it look? I think I'm going to stop into my local BB and check it out first.

I'm confused why this isn't getting more attention. This TV is listed in their BF ad for this price.... two weeks early.

PS: I bought it last night. Debating on picking it up. TU Rep'd

I have a LG 42LE5300. How big an upgrade will this be?
And any idea how much my used (no issues, like new) 42" LED will earn on craigslist or so? $200?

Considering this for HDR gaming on Xbone S /PS4 Pro. Should I bite on this? Haven't seen anything that stands out from other BF leaked ads.

That just means it can display HDR and 10-bit signal content. Basically, it can play the movie, but doesn't actually give you all the benefits of it. All these HDR and 10-bit advertising is very misleading. For LG, you have to go up to UH7700 series to have true 4k and HDR. I mean, you didn't really expect a 50 inch TV for $400 to have all of 4k, HDR and 10-bit did you?

EDIT: for what it's worth, I may very well get this TV. I mean you are getting a 50 inch TV that can kind of play 4K for $400. Very hard to beat that.

I couldn't really find any reviews on this set, but this list seems to indicate that the panel doesn't fully utilize HDR even though it can accept the HDR signal. Obviously without reviews it should be taken with a grain of salt.

I bought the similar 50uh5530 when it was this price. I cannot say anything bad about this TV. The picture is pretty good. The WEBOS in my opinion works leaps and bounds better than Samsungs smart TV. For the price this is a decent TV. Battlefield 1 also looks pretty good on it also Smilie
