I have the 250 lumen ones from a couple years ago all over my house from when they cleared then out. They have been excellent flashlights for the money.

Is that customer service number to Duracell, or Costco? I bought some of those a couple of years back from Costco and need to find out of they are the same exact ones to see if I can get the end caps replaced as well. I think it had a black one, a blue one, and a gray one in the pack.

I had one of them stop working but I think it was due to the batteries leaking. Although, it was the batteries that came with the flashlights and it wasn't long after I purchased them.

Probably reduced because they are probably getting ready to add the Duracell 350 Lumens LED Flashlights 4 pk $15.99 from their Holiday Savings book. (Warehouse only final price 11/25-11/28)

I bought a bunch of these from Costco about a year ago and returned all of them 6 months later. The brightness is great! But mine had various issues. Of course, the dreaded battery drain was one of them. Another issue was they sometimes don't work. I had to keep messing with the cap (tighten/loosen) or shake the damn things until it turned on. Some say you need to open them and tighten or loosen some of the tiny screws on the battery holder. This was always a short fix as they wouldn't turn on at a later date until messed with again.

Just got tired of them not working and family complaining they don't work consistently. Glad it was from Costco and they accept really late returns.

With so many flashlights going on sale these days, these are not worth it in my opinion. I expected much more from the Duracell brand, but the cheap Chinese knock-offs are more reliable than these.

For what it's worth, ANY flashlight that uses AAA batteries comes up short in my book. AAA's have about 1/2 the stored energy of AA's, cost the same per battery, and take up only marginally less space with the holders these lights use. Get a little larger 4 AA LED light and you have a winner.

Yeah. Some of those reviews are brutal. Will save my money and wait for something better or at least would last longer.

Lots of reports of these lights draining batteries when not on, must be missing a power disconect when turned off...otherwise, yea AAA lights are kind of a waste unless they have a really small power usage

Yeah reviews are terrible, at that price I'll stick to the free HFT ones. What is the point of a flashlight that drains itself in a month (even the good reviews admit this)????

well in case anyone buys it and wants to go through the hassle see bellow;

Fix for the battery drain issue
Like most reviewers, I really like the flashlight but experienced the same battery drain issue. I called Duracell who referred me to another company because I purchased the light at Costco. This company is aware of the issue and states the problem is in the end cap (the part you push to turn on the light) which has bad circuitry. They sent out new end caps for all three flashlights for free. Problem fixed. Here is the number: 1-888-910-2280. Be sure you tell them it's for the 350 Lumen or the 300 Lumen. This review is for the 350. This is a great go-to flashlight for flood light and throw of beam. Hope this helps.

I bought these from Costco couple months ago. They've been OK, but if they're on for more than 10 minutes, they get warm (not really hot, but warm) around the battery compartment. Never experienced that before.

Can someone post an alternative? Do those use AA? D?

I bought 6 of these about 2 years ago, all but one had died (wouldn't turn on) just sitting in Bug Out Bags, returned them all as I can't live with the chance that they would fail NO MATTER WHAT THE COST!
