Thinking of going in on this deal since this is the cheapest BF deal I have seen for an AC router. Any thoughts?

I just bought it the other day at Walmart for $123.00. It was $129 on the shelf, but the store matched the Walmart.com price. It's the Netgear R6400 [walmart.com]. Best router I have ever owned.

Streaming Sling TV over 5 Ghz on my Mi Box that has ac wireless is working very good without any problems. Link speed at -37 to -38 dBm is 433 MBps. That's through one wall at approximately 25 feet. Router installation is basically buried between two computer towers and a printer. Pretty sure I could get more signal strength by just moving the router above all that mess, but it's doing fine as is.

I did a firmware update through the router admin page, and it went smoothly. After the firmware is updated, reboot the router.

I had the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 installed on one computer, and I could not access the router admin page. Other computers with Norton Security had no problem accessing the admin page. Had to uninstall Kaspersky to access the admin page, and it is a known problem with Kaspersky that was supposed to be fixed in 2016 version. Netgear has an article about it on their website. Disabling Kaspersky does not work either.

I bought this router 2 years ago on BF at Walmart for a couple dollars less. It was an unadvertised price.

I would still buy it from Walmart just because it will be easy to return if need be.

I just searched Ebay for the $100 Netgear R6400, and I did not find any. Those $100 prices are for new but open box. I don't want to buy a returned router that is being sold as new. Look at the "New other (see details)" on the listings.

How's it compared to netgear AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit (R6300v2)? I just bought it on Amazon for $105 and pretty satisfied with it. Thinking about returning it and get this instead.

"The biggest change between the R6300v2 and R6400 is a different 2.4 GHz transmit power amplifier and the addition of receive Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA) for both bands"

How does this compare to the TPLink Archer C7 AC1750 Router ? I am looking to upgrade from my cheap TPLink WR841N, want (far) better range and router should be able to handle multiple devices (10-15) without breaking a sweat.
