are you asking 120 stand vs 125? I have the 125 and a fx6 under in the middle so it fits under there perfectly.

The 120 i dont like how the cabinets are on the side. if you use a canister filter one of the hoses has to strectch to the other end. I prefer the middle but having two cabinets is also nice.

kinda really comes down to preference. Those were just my views on the stand.

125 gal that is only 18" deep? Ouch... Killer price but that is a crappy size.

What would be the ideal depth? I had a 30 gallon tank like 8 years ago and really enjoyed it but my African Cichlids slowly killed each other. I think I started with 7 ended with 1 or 2. If I wanted to get a tank like one of these for say African Cichlids again how many could I get. Would this give them enough to space that they wouldn't kill each other? I'm tempted cause I really enjoyed the fish. It seemed like the 30 gallon tank was just too small to have a long term tank.

How big is this tv?
Only ask cause you could purchase a 50" 4k tv right now for $350, and either hang it or put it on a nice stand. Go to the aquarium, and record some exotic fish swimming. Go home and throw in a thumb drive, or $35 4k android box, and the ocean is the limit.

For even more fun, use a projector. You can project a cloudy day, or a sunny day @ night, or see the galaxy in the city.
Man.. with that logic, we might as well live in a simulated world powered by TVs. Trying to buy a computer that cost 1k? Why not buy a 70 inch for that price and watch a recording of yourself doing computer things? For even more fun, use dedicated speakers to play computer sounds. Dont stop there though. If you have a window youve been dying to replace, buy TV panels in their place and play a recording of the perfect outdoor scenario that you have in mind. The sky is the limit drool

aren't there usually deals where you pay $1 per gallon? like shouldn't this be $125 + cabinet cost for a good deal?

edit: per below, the $1/gallon is usually only up to around 55 gallons.

A 30 gallon tank for African Cichlids is way too small for just that reason. They are territorial and need their own space. I believe a 55 gallon is the minimum but it is recommended to get at least a 75 gallon if you want to keep them. A great place to figure out how many you can keep per tank size is http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/

I currently have a 75 gallon and it is 18 inches deep and it's not terrible. It just seems that person would rather it have more depth than width.

Going to get a falcon, and strap a go pro on it. Then the sky is the limit. Next will be a pet dolphin.

Some people are not satisfied just watching the food channel or travel chanel.
We would rather experience things ourselves. It's what we consider "more fun".

Looking to consolidate and move up to a planted 125. Stinks there are never deals for just the aquarium...we already built the stand, don't want the junk stands they throw in.
