Holy crap. Who makes Haier TV parts? What a deal for a 65" 4K TV. Is this thing a complete POS or is it worth it to take the plunge before BF?

Yes, so here are the knocks. No smart features, 60 mhz refresh/motion, No HDR. All things to think about. But what a price for an entry level 4K

Here's what SDers had to say about this TV when a deal for it was posted a few months ago:
https://slickdeals.net/f/9016027-haier-65-4k-tv-599-bj-s-free-shipping
Here's a decent review on YouTube. I hope this guy's name really is Frick Magic.

I added it to cart and shipping to CA is $75. No tax.

I was ready to buy this until I read PC Richard's return policy:
If opened and/or used, the following merchandise is non-returnable & not sold on a trial basis:
TVs - 50" & Larger

That kind of sours the deal for someone who lives 3000 miles from the nearest B&M. $500 is cheap, even for a low-end TV, but it's still $500, and I wouldn't want to get stuck with a defective model.

Thanks! I've never really done BF before.. and I'm going to be away for BF this year as usual. Is this one of those "good luck.. maybe you'll get it" sort of things or can I purchase it online from wherever I am?

if the TV was defective the manufacturers warranty would cover the issue

PC Richards return policy just doesnt allow you to change your mind

I Purchased the 65UF2505 from hhgregg this evening. I haven't set it up yet, will try tomorrow. I did however get it PM to the pcRichards price of $499 and then also had the veteran's day hhgregg promo "salute" to get another 11% off. So with take, out the door for about $475.
